Afraid of the Gym?


Going to the gym can be intimidating. You might not be sure what to do or how to use machines. And seeing people sweating or grunting while using cardio machines or lifting weights can crush your motivation to be at the gym. But don’t despair!

Remember that everyone is there for the same reason. It doesn’t matter what shape they are in, how old they are, how fast they are, or how strong they are. They are all at the gym for the exact same reason you are: to better themselves.

No matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everybody on the couch. Get up, work out.

Don’t be afraid to ask for help. If you don’t know how to properly use a machine, ask someone who is using it. And do your research — there are a ton of online resources that can help you with training programs or strength training video tutorials. Our personal favorite can be found here:
